Enjoy the beach! The Campo del Mar Beach Club and Marina includes Mermaids – an open air restaurant and bar, 2 swimming pools, the beach and of course, the many water activities in the Caribbean Sea.
Enjoy our orchards and gardens. Take a guided tour or walk the trails throughout the Park visiting exotic fruit orchards, vegetable gardens and formal Botanical Gardens. All have rest areas and shaded decks for visitors to cool off by trying ice cold juices freshly pressed from the local orchard. Several photo-op locations provide a perfect background for memories in the Botanical Garden.
Enjoy the Animal Habitat. See the current wildlife residents and Park pets. Learn about our Rescue and Rehabilitation Center working with UMA – Unidad Municipal de Ambiente (Environmental Unit of the Municipality) and ICF – Instituto de Conservacion de Forestal (Institute of Forestry Conservation) in the conservation, preservation and rehabilitation of Honduran wildlife, including an educational component for visitors, schools and institutions.
Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Center
The botanical gardens include various indigenous plants, flowers and exotic fruits, arranged in formal gardens. There are plenty of places for you to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Or take an organized tour by tram, or wander through the grounds on your own..
The Animal Refuge Center includes a variety of indigenous animals, most requiring some kind of specialized care depending on their condition when they arrive. We have a full-time wildlife biologist on staff, helped by the services of a veterinarian when required.
Animal Adoptions
If you would like to help us in our endeavors to protect and preserve the natural wildlife of Honduras, you can adopt one of the animals of your choice for a small contribution, or make a general donation towards our ongoing work. MERMAIDS
Beach Bar and Restaurant
Mermaid’s Beach Club is open for your enjoyment from noon until 4pm every Saturday & Sunday, as well as during Semana Santa, on Cruise Ship Days, and for other special events or private functions.
